To help acquire knowledge and to address the curiosity of children, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is organizing a special programme for school children which is known as the “Young Scientist Programme” or “YUva VIgyani KAryakram” (YUVIKA). About ISRO YUVIKA 2024
Indian Space Research Organization is organizing a special programme which is known as the “Young Scientist Programme” or “YUva VIgyani KAryakram” (YUVIKA). This program encourages more students to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) careers. This programme provides basic knowledge of Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the students of schools. ISRO announced the Young Scientist Programme (YUVIKA) 2024 to be conducted on May 13-24 for class 9 students. It is a two-week residential programme for school children. Registration starting date is 20 February 2024 which has been issued for all students.

Objectives of ISRO YUVIKA 2024
The primary objective of this program is to encourage students to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) based research/careers. ISRO YUVIKA 2024 aims to impart fundamental knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science, and Space Applications to the students of schools. This program desires to ignite interest in STEM fields and raise awareness about space and technology to boost future talents in space exploration.

Eligibility Criteria
To be a part of the this Programme you should fulfil these eligibility criteria:
- Students must be permanent citizen of India.
- Students who are studying in class 9th as on 01 January 2024.
- Students must be studying in village or rural schools.
- Students must have scored above 50% in class 8th.

- Take a photocopy of the certificates and attest the same by the principal/Head of school signing the certificate for verification.
- Verified certificate needs to scan and upload into the website.
