Assam Amrit Brikshya Andolan:- The government of Assam keeps on launching many schemes for its residents. Assam Chief Minister Shri Hemanta Biswa Sharma started Amrit Brikshya Andolan with an aim to plant 1 million trees in the state. This scheme was launched to make the state green. The announcement about the scheme was made on 8th June 2023. With the help of the scheme, the state government wants to motivate the people of the state to grow trees. The whole Assam state will be taking part in this plan. The Assam government decided to give Rs 100 for each plant at the time of planting.

According to the Amrit Brikshya Andolan Yojana, the government decided to plant about 1 crore saplings in only two hours on 17 September. After completing this task, Assam will become the first state in the Nation that take this initiative. This is a good move for the state government to support the environment. The individual will get Rs.100 in their bank account after they upload a geotagged sample-taking photo. The state government also decided to give an additional 200 Rs in the 3rd Year for the Survival of the Plant. According to the scheme, the free sample will be given by the forest department. Under the plan, Self Help Group Members, ASHA workers, supervisors, Police, Educational institutes, and Anganwadi workers, will do the commercial tree planting. To take benefit of the scheme, it is necessary to do registrations online on the Wave Portal.
