The new Chief Minister of Karnataka state Mr. Siddaramaiah & Congress President D.K Shivakumar has introduced Karnataka Gruha Jyoti Yojana. In this scheme, the government is providing free electricity to the people of Karnataka. Under this scheme, the government is providing free electricity for up to 200 units in a month. It means if any family uses less than 200 units per month then they do not have to pay any electricity bills. This scheme will help to reduce the electricity consumption of the state because every person will try to use less electricity to that exemption from paying bills.
