About Karnataka Shakti Scheme
This scheme was started by the Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr. Siddaramaiah. In this scheme, the government is going to provide free bus rides to women in state-owned buses. This scheme will come into implementation from 11 June onwards. In this scheme, women can travel within the state because interstate buses ride is not included in this scheme. 50% of seats are reserved for males in the state road transport corporation such as KSRTC, NWKRTC, and KKRTC. Transgender can also take advantage of this scheme. Women can apply for Shakti smart card on sevasindhu portal within the next 90 days. Women can use the ID card issued by the central and state government till the Shakti smart card gets issued to them. The road transport companies will be given compensation according to the distance traveled by the women in the buses.

The main objective of this scheme is to provide free transportation services to the women of the state. So that they do not have to face any financial problem while travelling and it will save the transportation cost for the women. This scheme will empower the women of the state. - And click on submit button.
