Karnataka Shuchi Scheme:- The Karnataka government always makes efforts to support and help its residents. The state government has come up with the Shuchi Scheme that will provide sanitary pads to school girls. The scheme will be educating girls about menstruation hygiene and sanitary products. The Karnataka Shuchi Scheme is resumed as it was kept on hold for three years. Dinesh Gundu Rao, the minister for health and family welfare announced that the scheme will be started again. According to the minister, the tender for giving sanitary pads has been floated in four divisional levels. Soon, the girls of the state will be able to take benefit of the scheme. The announcement about this scheme was made on September 11 in Mangaluru.

Under the scheme, school-going girls will be given sanitary napkins from the next month. The estimated cost of the Karnataka Shuchi Scheme is around 20 crores. The girls whose age is in between 10-18 years will be given the benefit. It is expected that around 40 lakh sanitary pads will be distributed to the girl’s students.
