In February 2019, the BJP government started new initiative “PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana” to uplift the financial condition of farmers of India. The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on February 24, Monday stated that the central government is set to pay out PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana 19th instalment date. The PM-KISAN Scheme is the major initiative started by government to enhance the income of the agricultural sector.
The Scheme will transfer around INR 22000 crores without an intermediary into the bank accounts of 9.8 crore farmers in the country. The eligible farmers will get around INR 6000 annual aid, which will be transferred in three instalments of INR 2000 every four months.
Objective of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
The main motive to start the “PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana” is to uplift the livelihood of small farmers by giving them financial support to them. Initially it was started in February 2019 by PM Shri Narendra Modi and till February 2025 total 19 instalment has been given completed. The Scheme has completed its sixth anniversary.
The 19th instalment will be launch in an event in Bhagalpur, Bihar by Prime Minister, stated by Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan in a press conference. The purse will directly be credited in the receiver bank accounts. It will help small farmers to purchase quality products for crop health.
The Union Agriculture Minister also stated that the total of around INR 3.46 lakh crores ha s to be distributed under PM-KISAN initiative and it is anticipated to extend around INR 3.68 lakh crores in the approaching PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Instalment.

Financial Benefits
Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Scheme, each eligible farmer will get an annual help of INR 6000 and it will be distributed in equal instalment of INR 2000 every four months in three equal instalments.
