The Minister of Information and Broadcasting Shri Anurag Singh Thakur has started this Press Sewa Portal to simplify the inconvenient registration procedures that was very common under the colonial PRB Act, 1867. This initiative will help simplify and increase the engagement with the media. This will provide online services for Title Registration, QR code-based digital certificates, paperless processes with e-sign facilities, module for Press Keepers/owner enabling online intimation about Printing press, efficient tracking of newspaper registration, integration of a Direct Payment Gateway and quick grievance resolution through a chatbot-based interactive Grievance Resolution Software.
