Under the scheme, outstanding loans of SHGs will be reimbursed by the government. YSR Asara Scheme
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has launched the YSR Asara Scheme for the women of poor families and SHG to save them from the debt trap. Under the scheme, the outstanding loan which the women of poor families have taken to meet their requirements but are unable to clear will be reimbursed by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. YSR Asara Scheme is quite a great step that has been taken by the government of Andhra Pradesh to empower the women of the state
- Around Rs. 6345.87 crores will be given by the government to save the women from debt traps
- With the help of the YSR Asara Scheme, the women will be able to clear their loans

YSR Asara Scheme Objective
As we all know there are many women in the state of Andhra Pradesh who due to their lack of financial funds are forced to take loans at exorbitant rates of interest so as to meet their day-to-day requirements but are unable to repay the debts of these loans. To save women from the debts of these loans the Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy of Andhra Pradesh has launched the YSR Asara Scheme. Under this scheme, outstanding loans of the women will be reimbursed by the government to save them from heavy debts.

YSR Asara Scheme Achievement Highlights
Some of the achievement highlights of this scheme are as follows:-
- The Government of Andhra Pradesh has provided financial help and support to around lakhs of self-help groups of women. Around Rs. 6345 crores has been disbursed by the government for clearing these dues.
- The government has been able to clear the dues of outstanding loans of the SHGs women.
- For the effective implementation of the YSR Asara Scheme, the government has spent an amount of Rs. 12,759 Crores in the last 28 months.
- Around 7.97 women from the Self Help Groups (SHGs) have been able to get financial assistance. Rs. 6440 crores have been spent on clearing these dues.
- There are around 9 social welfare schemes which have been launched for providing social welfare to the citizens of Andhra Pradesh.
YSR Asara Scheme Second Installment
The respected Chief Minister YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy has released the second installment under YSR Asara Scheme on 18th October 2021. On this occasion, the government said that he deposited Rs. 6,439.52 crores into the bank account of the beneficiaries under this scheme. Also, the CM said that he had fulfilled the promises that had been given to the group of women. The amount has been dispersed into the account of women groups. Now the women belonging to self-help groups will be able to meet their requirements.
YSR Asara Scheme Extension
The Government of Telangana has extended the application procedure of the YSR Asara Scheme from 11 October 2021 to 30th October 2021. Also, the government has reduced the eligible age limit for sanction of old age pension from 65 years to 57 years. Keeping in view the request from public representatives of the government has decided to accept 10 this scheme. All those applicants who want to take benefit from this scheme will have to apply before the last date.
YSR Asara Scheme Second Tranche
On 7th October 2021, the respected Chief Minister YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy released the second installment of the YSR Asara Scheme. The chief minister has transferred Rs. 6440 crores into the bank accounts of 78.76 lakhs women from 7.97 lakhs self-help groups under the state. With the help of this installment, the government will be able to clear the outstanding loans of the SHGs women. CM said that the Asara celebrations will be taking place in all the districts from 7th October till 18 October. Around Rs. 12,759 crores have been spent in the last 28 months towards YSR Asara Scheme alone.

YSR Asara Navratanalu
During the election manifesto, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has made promises to provide 9 major benefits to the people of the state. Out of which the ninth benefit is YSR Asara Scheme which is also called Navratanalu. It is a combination of 9 social welfare schemes that provide benefits to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
- The chief minister has launched a total of 9 schemes which include YSR Rythu Bharosa, Fee Reimbursement, Aarogyasri, Jalaygnam, Ban On Alcohol, Amma Vodi, Paydalandariki Illu, Pensionla Pempu, and YSR Asara.
- The main objective of launching YSR Asara is to clear the outstanding loans of SHG women with banks till 11 April 2019

YSR Asara Scheme Budget
YSR Asara Scheme has been launched by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh to clear all the pending loans of DWCRA women of the state in collaboration with banks till 11 April 2019. And for the successful implementation of this scheme, the government has sanctioned the budget of Rs. 6,792.11 crore on 11 September 2020 for the first installment.

Asara Scheme Payment Status
The Respected Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has created the YSR Asara Scheme on 9th September 2020. The main aim of launching the YSR Asara Scheme is to clear all the pending dues of DWCRA women in collaboration with the bank on 11th April 2019. The dues will be cleared in 4 installments. The government of West Bengal has sanctioned Rs. 27,169 crores for the successful implementation of this scheme for 4 years. Out of this total budget, the government has sanctioned Rs. 6792.21 crores on 11th September 2022 for women.
